St. Michael Academy Granted Extension of Fundraising Deadline; Renews Effort to Attain $150,000 Match from Anonymous Donors
PETOSKEY – January 17, 2019 – St. Michael Academy (“SMA”), Northern Michigan’s only Classical Catholic high school, is pleased to announce that its generous anonymous donors have granted it an extension, until February 18, to raise at least $150,000 of first-year pledges in its ‘sNO BALL campaign. If the school reaches this target before the new deadline, the donors will continue to match pledges, up to $300,000, through February 18.
SMA is also pleased to announce that it is well on its way toward this goal, with more than $104,000 in first-year pledges already secured, along with an additional $27,000 in one-time gifts to the school.
“It’s not too late to help us reach our goal and receive these substantial matching funds,” stated SMA Principal Dr. Richard Brake. “For those who have donated or pledged already, we are grateful for your support. For those who have not yet done so, we again humbly ask for your prayerful consideration to help us to meet our target and continue our renewal of first-class Catholic high school education in Northern Michigan.”
SMA Executive Director Mr. Jim Hatch added, “Our matching donors are encouraged by the generosity shown by our community over the last several weeks and, of course, we are too. Thanks for your support for St. Michael Academy!”
The ‘sNO BALL is a “non-event event” that invites supporters to join the St. Michael Guardians Club, in which members pledge an annually recurring donation of their choice, for five years.
